Your Key Accountabilities

As our Supply Chain & Procurement Senior Professional, you will play a key role in supporting the growth of our Infra-red Solutions business through hands-on sourcing,
supplier development and supply chain activities across an international supplier network, with a strong focus on Asia.

You will work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to identify, assess and develop sourcing opportunities, support outsourcing projects and help build a resilient and competitive supply base.
The role combines strategic thinking with practical, day-to-day engagement with suppliers and sourcing markets.

Drive Supply Chain and Procurement activities supporting the Infra-red business growth program.
Identify, assess and develop new suppliers and sourcing opportunities, particularly across Asian markets.
Develop and execute sourcing strategies for key categories, with a focus on metalwork components.
Engage directly with suppliers throughout the sourcing process, from market exploration and supplier identification through qualification, negotiation and ongoing development.
Translate business and operational needs into resilient supply solutions, including dual sourcing and regional sourcing approaches, and manage direct spend including duties.
Manage supplier relationships and drive supplier performance, quality, cost competitiveness and continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with Umicore global sustainable sourcing policy and relevant regulations (e.g. REACH, RoHS, POP, PFAS).
Support and execute outsourcing initiatives and supplier development activities, with particular focus on Asia.
Perform supply chain assessments (e.g. Kraljic Matrix) to identify supply risks and opportunities.
Partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Commercial, Global Supply and Procurement teams to deliver business objectives.

Who we are looking for

5–7 years of hands-on experience in Supply Chain, Procurement or Strategic Sourcing, ideally within an international manufacturing environment.
Practical experience sourcing and developing suppliers in Asia is highly desirable.
Experience working directly with suppliers across the sourcing lifecycle, including supplier identification, assessment, negotiation and development.
Experience with industrial components, metalwork, precision manufacturing or similar technical categories would be an advantage.
Strong analytical mindset combined with a practical, hands-on approach.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across different cultures and geographies.
Knowledge of thermal optics or precision manufacturing is an advantage.
Fluent English and willingness to travel internationally, including regular interaction with suppliers in Asia.
