Your Key Accountabilities
- Delivers expert work in R, D & I Project & Program Management with high quality and timeliness, applying best practices and standards.
- Executes and manages independently one or more projects in all their aspects (definition, budget, communication, implementation and follow-up) according to program and project excellence standards. Manage the budget for the assigned projects.
- Owns complex tasks in project management, producing accurate outputs and identifying risks or anomalies proactively.
- Analyzes problems, recommends options, and implements improvements in methods, tools, or data flows.
- Collaborates with adjacent teams and stakeholders, communicating insights and recommendations clearly.
- Collaborates cross-functionally to deliver high-quality outcomes and knowledge sharing.
- Mentors less experienced colleagues, reviewing deliverables and elevating team standards.
- May manage relations with external customers in the context of open innovation projects.
Who we are looking for
Qualifications: Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (any) or a related field of study AND Five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation in which the required experience was gained. Must also have demonstrated experience with:
- Automotive Catalyst and Applied Technology functions;
- Engine calibration;
- Product Design and Product Application for Automotive Catalysts;
- Understanding of the commercial, technical, operational and financial elements of automotive catalysts;
- Planisware system for testing plan and budgeting;
- APQP (Advanced Protocol Quality Planning) structured process for product design and development;
- Automotive emission legislation requirements for North America; and
- DoE methodology

This position does require domestic and international travel, specifically other Umicore sites in US and Canada. The role allows work to be performed on a hybrid schedule; at least 3 days in office and up to 2 days remote/telecommute per week.
