What you will be doing

  • Lead the Data & Analytics team (10-15 people in a matrix structure) to develop and implement data strategies that support the business objectives of the Battery Materials department.
  • Drive the data and advanced analytics roadmap,.
  • Collaborate with five agile scrum teams to identify data needs, prioritize the most attractive data use-cases and  develop data products or integrate the needs into existing data products.
  • Work closely with the corporate teams to ensure technical alignment and support for data infrastructure and advanced analytics initiatives.
  • Manage and mentor a cross-functional team (in a matrix structure) of product owners, system analysts and data engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. The team consists of a mix of internal and external resources, where 3-5 people have a direct reporting line and others collaborate in a matrix structure.
  • Develop and maintain data products (data models and dashboards) using tools such as TimeXtender, Databricks, dbt and PowerBI to provide insights to stakeholders.
  • Introduce and ensure compliance with data governance policies and best practices.
  • Communicate complex data topics to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

 

Who we are looking for

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field
  • Proven experience in a data and analytics leadership role, preferably within the manufacturing or technology sectors
  • Experience with analysis tools and programming languages such as SQL and Python
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools such as Power BI and Databricks
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor a team
  • Knowledge of data governance and best practices in data management
  • Experience working in an agile scrum environment is a plus
