What you will be doing
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Security Manager to join our Corporate Security team. Reporting to the Chief Security Officer, you will be an expert in Security Risk Management with a focus on Physical, Transport, and Precious Metal security. You will demonstrate a profound knowledge of global security concepts and all related technical and organizational measures. You will serve as project manager for security related initiatives across multiple sites, and leverage your expertise to promote and support the security community.
Responsibilities:
- Physical and Transport Security: Stay updated on new technological solutions, document technical standards, and implement security standards across Umicore. Provide expert advice and support to businesses, focusing on the security of precious metals, transport, and warehouses. Conduct audits on physical security on-site and ensure compliance with security requirements and risk assessments.
- People Security: Ensure the protection of Umicore personnel against specific risks (e.g. kidnap and ransom) including security during events.
- Project Management: Lead and enhance operational excellence in security projects. Manage multi-site and multi-business projects such as access control, visitor and contractor management, and security concepts in (re)newed Umicore plants. Contribute to cross-functional improvement projects and certification exercises (e.g. ISO27000, NIS2, O.T.)
- Support Security Community: Promote and facilitate the security community's work. Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards. Organize workshops, seminars, training and info sessions on security-related topics.
- Compliance and Legal Security Advice: Provide advice and support on evolving security legislation. Inform relevant stakeholders about new security laws and ensure compliance.
Who we are looking for
Requirements:

- 10+ years of work experience in a security-related domain.
- Master’s degree, preferably with a technical background (e.g., engineering).
- Experience in a high-tech industrial environment is a plus.
- 3+ years of experience in project management on related topics.
- Expertise in Organizational and Technical security management – an ASIS certification is a plus.
- Knowledge of Security Risk management – ISO31000 certification is a plus.
- Familiarity with Information security – ISO 27000 certification is a plus.
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken) and a good knowledge in Dutch/French/German; other language is a plus.
- High level of integrity and discretion.
- Excellent communication and training skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Good networking and relationship-building skills with colleagues in different regions across the world.
- Strong problem judgment and analytical skills.
- Pragmatic and solution-oriented approach.
- Cost awareness.
