About Umicore

Powering the cars of today and tomorrow. Reducing harmful emissions. Giving unique properties to high-end applications. Giving new life to used metals. As a global advanced materials and recycling group, we develop, produce, and recycle materials for a better life.

About Enterprise Functions

A global organisation. It’s not just those in our industrial sites and technical centres that are vital to Umicore’s growth. Across our support functions we ensure that we continue to grow and evolve – whether it’s by making sure our decisions are commercially viable, enhancing our reputation, building new customer relationships or finding the right people who can build on what we’ve already achieved. The variety of our work means we cannot stand still. We need to find new ways to do things, discover new solutions and develop new ideas. Which is where you come in.

What you will do

In this role, you will be the organizational engine behind one or more senior leaders. Your work will directly contribute to the effectiveness, clarity and rhythm of the business.

  • Own the agenda — anticipate priorities, coordinate meetings, manage travel and ensure everything runs smoothly.
  • Create clarity — prepare presentations, reports and summaries that help leaders make informed decisions.
  • Be the communication hub — manage correspondence and ensure messages are handled with professionalism and discretion.
  • Keep the team aligned — organize meetings, consolidate documents, track action items and support change initiatives.
  • Bring people together — design and deliver events that connect teams, customers and partners across the globe.
  • Improve how we work — streamline processes, introduce smarter tools and help colleagues adopt new ways of working.
  • Support engagement — contribute to initiatives that strengthen culture, collaboration and employee experience.

Why this role matters

You will be the right hand of a senior leader, operating at the heart of an international organization committed to sustainability and innovation. Your work will touch many parts of the business — from corporate functions to business units, from internal teams to external partners. This is a role for someone who enjoys responsibility, autonomy and variety, and who wants to make a tangible difference every day.

What you bring

  • A proactive mindset and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with absolute discretion
  • Comfort working in a fast‑moving, international environment
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • A natural ability to connect people, solve problems and keep things moving

What we can offer

We aim to lead the way. Not just for our customers, but for our employees too. That is why we strive to create a collaborative environment in which we can all succeed, and a culture through which we can all share ideas, develop our expertise and advance our careers. We engage in building an inclusive work culture that offers equal opportunities for all employees irrespective of their diverse backgrounds. As you would expect from a world-leading organisation, we will also reward your contribution with a competitive salary and benefits. With all this and more, imagine what you could do?
