Job Purpose

The Global Learning Lead is a pivotal role within the Global Talent Centre of Excellence, accountable for defining (design, develop, deliver), governing, and continuously improving Umicore’s global behavioural learning strategy, processes, content, tools, standards/guidelines, and methodologies.

The role ensures that behavioural learning— including leadership development, feedback culture, Values & Enterprise Leadership‑ aligned behaviours, and performance‑enabling behaviours — is consistently embedded across the Talent lifecycle and available to employees.

You will enable all employees and leaders to build the behavioural capabilities required to deliver the CORE strategy and future enterprise growth. You will act as the enterprise owner of the end‑to‑end Global Behavioural Learning process — from design and standards to delivery, adoption, and impact measurement.

Your Key Accountabilities

Global Process Ownership 

  • Own and govern the Global Behavioural Learning process, including standards, guidelines, workflows, and success measures.  
  • Ensure consistency, scalability, and integration with existing and newly created frameworks, Performance Management, Succession, Umicore Values.. 
  • Apply structured change management to drive global adoption. 

Learning Ecosystem Design & Development 

  • Design and curate a global behavioural learning portfolio covering all behavioural learning needs across Umicore.  
  • Ensure the ecosystem supports behavioural capability needs linked to CORE strategy and performance culture.
  • Conduct a yearly learning needs analysis with stakeholders 

Delivery & Global Enablement

  • Manages Projects in time, scope & cost 
  • Establish delivery standards for internal and external facilitators. 
  • Lead the internal & external facilitator community
  • Provide Train‑the‑Trainer (TTT) models through TM&D partners across BGs/EF. 
  • Partner with P&O Tech to ensure seamless experience in SuccessFactors and learning tools.
  • Ensure learning initiatives, allowing ca 4000 enrollments / year.  

Integration with Career Framework & Talent Processes 

  • Map behavioural learning to Career Streams, career levels, skills, and progression pathways. 
  • Ensure behavioural learning supports performance expectations (“How”)  

Vendor, Budget & Quality Management 

  • Manage vendor ecosystem (training providers, digital platforms,….). 
  • Manages budget usage and cost efficiencies.
  • Build performance goals, analytics and metrics.
  • Ensure continuous improvement based on learner data, evaluation, and business outcomes.  
Who we are looking for
  • Master’s degree in HR, Organizational Development, Learning Sciences, Psychology, or related field.  
  • 7+ years in L&D, Talent, Leadership Development or similar global P&O roles. 
  • Proven experience in designing behavioural, leadership, or culture learning at enterprise scale. 
  • Demonstrated success as a global process owner or in global governance roles.
  • Strong expertise in behavioural skill models.
  • Experience with leadership development, feedback culture, performance systems.
  • Familiarity with digital learning platforms and SuccessFactors Learning.
  • Strong project & program management skills, ideally in multi‑stakeholder settings.
  • Ability to translate strategy into learning pathways and scalable processes.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical capability
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Change leadership mindset; able to drive enterprise‑wide adoption
  • Learning innovator: experience, exposure, education mindset
