What you will be doing
The OPEX and stock controller takes the lead in working out the controlling framework around all operational KPI of the business unit, and will focus on defining and implementing an operational controlling roadmap in order to achieve a performant controlling environment.

The focus will be on the operational cost performance of all the plants of the BU, meaning refining, PCAM and CAM. The scope will be on cost prices and performance, but also on the related NWC stock components (operational stock and operational blocked stocks).

 

 Your detailed responsibilities :

  • You take the lead in defining and implementing a OPEX and Stock controlling roadmap in order to achieve a performant controlling environment. You act as a dedicated business partner towards all OPEX and Stock stakeholders and are owner of a single source of truth.
  • You take ownership of the OPEX forecasting and budgeting process of all plants of the full BU of UBM, and discuss and define stock targets for budget and forecast together with SCM and Supply.
  • You act as UBM’s owner of the production cost modelling methodology, in close alignment with OPS, PTE and Bus. Dev. You support the organization in questions on cost price modelling, by running the model on request.
  • You monitor OPEX and stock KPI’s by analysing deviations against prior periods, standard, FC and BOP. You set up reporting structures and define relevant KPI’s (SAP & BI) and report on a monthly base towards the relevant stakeholders.
  • You take ownership over different systems (i.e. OPEX & stock planning modules of Anaplan) and lead various projects (i.e. cost harmonization, implementation of cost modelling in Anaplan, etc.)

 

Who we are looking for

  • You combine a Master degree (Finance, Business Administration, Commercial Sciences) with preferable +7 years’ experience in controlling and finance, including a very good knowledge of operational and stock controlling.
  • You are keen on IT software applications for controlling and finance and have a profound knowledge of SAP modules.
  • You have good understanding of primary IFRS.
  • You combine strong analytic skills with a simplify & standardization mindset. You are able to create manageable solutions for business flows based on templates where possible.
  • You are fluent in English and have well-developed interpersonal skills and feel comfortable in an international and multicultural environment. You are open to travel occasionally.
