About Cobalt & Speciality Materials

Mastering the cobalt value chain. Umicore’s expertise covers the sourcing, production and distribution of cobalt and nickel products. Umicore’s materials are at the heart of products we use every day such as rechargeable batteries, tools, paints and tyres. Our recycling and refining processes give new life to cobalt and other metals and reduce environmental impacts. To meet the demands of our customers we cannot stand still. We need to find new ways to do things, discover new solutions and develop new ideas. Which is where you come in.

What you will be doing

Production planning for I&D and TM:

-        Aligning sales forecast with production planning and determining the product mix

-        Communication and follow-up of the planning with the involved departments

-        Operational production & repack planning

Day-to-day follow-up of:

-        Batch selection

-        Specifications (product & customer)

-        Product availability

-        Co hedging (hedging flash)

Reporting:

-        Setting and controlling of stock targets

-        Control of worldwide consignment stocks

-        Inventory Reporting

-        Monthly results and forecast prep + entry in TM1

Who we are looking for

Education: master’s degree in applied economics, business / commercial engineering or other similar fields

Technical: Insight & experienced in ERP’s systems

Managerial:

-        Excellent communicator

-        Strong analytical & numerical skills.

-        Well structured.

-        Languages: English and Dutch are a must, French is nice to have
