Your Key Accountabilities

Receiving

  • Access and determine incoming quality of product at time of signature
  • Verify packaging based on product specification
  • Verify product type and quantity and be accountable for any inconsistencies
  • Cross reference supplier packing slips to internal documentation and purchase orders
  • Deliver product to appropriate warehouse location / destination
  • Assign timely and accurate storage bin for all ecternal receipts to faciliatate the stock lcoator system in SAP
  • Physical bar-coding of Raw Material
  • Enter accurately all necessary receipt postings into SAP
  • Trouble shoot inconsistencies with incoming problems and documentation

Shipping

  • Prepare shipping documentation including customs documentation, bills of lading and hazardous bills
  • Make necessary shipping arangements with transport companies, as required
  • Notify freight dispatchers with internal shipping details and make necessary appointments
  • Prepare courier packages including documentation preparation
  • Staging product for shipment
  • Confirmation of all transfer orders provided by Customer Service 
  • Pallet preparation – banding / wrapping for external shipments as required
  • Labeling product as per customer specification
  • Prepare and label hazardous product for shipment as per regulations

Warehouse / Material Handling

  • Loading and unloading trailers including export containers
  • Optimizing warehouse storage areas
  • Assist in Physical Inventory Counts & Reconciliation
  • Coordinate & Maintain FIFO for chemical storage & consumption.
  • Reception for plant (contractors and others)
  • Exterior Gate operation
  • Recycling bin Rotation / Removal from plant
  • MRO receipt and distribution within the plant and front office areas
  • Mail distribution, as required

Health & Safety

  • Commit to upholding, respecting and ensuring compliance with the health and safety standards established by the company’s guidelines.
  • Actively promote a culture of care by collaborating on preventive measures and continuous improvement actions related to health and safety activities.

Who we are looking for
  • High school diploma
  • 1-3 years shipping/receiving experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Forklift Certified or ability to be certified
  • Computer Skills – working knowledge of SAP, MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • 5S, Lean Manufacturing knowledge
  • Inventory Management, FIFO knowledge
  • TDG certification (preferred)
  • Knowledge of the EMS policy and procedures, environmental aspects and impacts, site objectives and targets. 
  • This position is a contract position covering a fixed term, it is a replacement position
