About the Young Graduate Program

Mainly based at our sites in Olen, Hoboken and Brussels, our two-year young graduate program will give you the opportunity to learn and build experience in various areas of our organization, such as production, engineering, marketing, sales, finance, business development, communication, etc. You will be able to quickly contribute to our business, benefit from a custom made development plan and you will get support from a buddy during the entire program.

What you will be doing

We will onboard you in September 2026 with a warm welcome to kick start your journey at Umicore. We want you to feel at home and get familiar with our culture.

Throughout the program you take up ownership over two projects (1 year each) that we will assign to you, this in different business domains & sites across Belgium.

Throughout the program, you will learn about our business, technologies, way of working, and culture. You will further develop your knowledge, skills and network by training on the job as well as attending Umicore seminars and networking events. You will develop personal skills that will help you to grow into exciting roles.

You connect with different stakeholders at all levels in the organization and build your professional network. You are an active ambassador for Umicore, internally and externally during company visits, jobfairs, etc.

Who we are looking for

You are a Young Graduate with a keen interest / curiosity in positions such as Supply, Finance, Market Intelligence, Communication, HR, ESG, Government Affairs, Legal,…

You exhibit adaptability and feel at home in a changing environment. Your problem-solving skills help you to tackle obstacles and to come up with fresh ideas.

You are curious and have a strong willingness to learn and develop yourself as human and professional. Your open attitude for feedback helps in this growth process.

You are service-minded, with a strong collaborative mindset.

You are result-driven and align with Umicore’s values.

What we offer

You will be offered two projects in different business units or sites to develop your professional and interpersonal competencies. You get guidance on the job by experienced Umicore employees and go through a formal training program. After a successful completion of your projects we will assess your development and potential together and match it with one of the open managerial positions at Umicore.
