What you will be doing

Assure CIT compliance and provide advice, interacting with Business Units & Fiscal Committee, making detailed analysis and reports, proposing, coordinating and implementing actions for this purpose, both on current and new business proposals. Be aligned with global Transfer Pricing best practices. 

Guarantee compliance in all direct tax related topics, being it CIT and transfer pricing. Driving Umicore to the tax optimization through:

  • Make analytic and projections reports, with conclusions and recommendations to be discussed and validated by the Management;
  • Continuously up to date about tax legislation and analyse impact of changes, providing recommendations for actions;
  • Advise on new business proposals in interaction with the BUs & Tax Committee;
  • Interact with BU Heads and Commercial Managers discussing new business ideas/models and anticipate tax analysis and recommendations;
  • Assure appropriated decisions from Business Units under Transfer Pricing rules;
  • Interact with Umicore Global Tax Dept. and South American subsidiaries on all related matters;
  • Provide guidance & share knowledge with stakeholders;
  • Report CIT results to Umicore Global. 

 

Who we are looking for

You should have high levels of Continuous learning and up to date, commitment, transparency and ethics, Leadership (guide, motivate and develop team members), flexibility and interpersonal skills, creativity, innovation and dynamism, skills in risk assessment and decision making, clear communication at all levels (to present complex topics in a clear and simple way). We’ll also be looking for:

  • University Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Law;
  • Tax specialization;
  • Oral & written fluency in English;
  • Desirable tax experience as supervisor or specialist;
  • Desirable having worked in position of tax compliance in large corporation or top consultancy firm;
  • Desirable Spanish.
