About the Role

As Integration Solutions Architect & Project Manager, you will lead the Integration Center of Excellence (iCoE) within the Information Systems department. This role combines governance, architecture leadership, and project execution. You will be responsible for maintaining the integration reference framework, managing the intake and execution of integration requests, and driving the maturity of integration governance across Umicore’s diverse IT landscape.

What you will be doing

iCoE Governance & Strategy

- Define and maintain the iCoE reference framework, including integration methods, documentation standards, and governance processes.

- Lead the iCoE advisory board: organize monthly meetings with fixed participants, ensure structured agendas, gatekeep decisions are documented and the quality of technical designs meet minimal standards.

- Ensure integration requests are processed consistently, aligned with governance standards and provide clear guidance.

- Own and update the Integration Technology Roadmap annually, in alignment with the overall architecture team’s portfolio planning.

Integration Architecture

- Lead solution-focused integration architecture decisions across a hybrid cloud, on-premise and edge/OT landscape.

- Translate business requirements into integration patterns and technology choices that are fit-for-purpose.

- Oversee end-to-end process and data flows across applications, ensuring integration re-useability, security and scalability. Develop the value case, vision and ambition and governance for API management.

- Stay current with emerging integration technologies and patterns (e.g. API Management, OT/IT convergence, MES, IoT).

- have a permanent seat in the virtual architecture team

Project Management

- Manage integration-focused projects  from initiation to delivery.

- Apply full project management methodology for larger initiatives, in line with APM governance.

- Collaborate with business process owners and IS teams to ensure alignment of solution architecture with business goals.

- Track and report on project progress, risks, and deliverables.

Who we are looking for

- Master’s degree in Information Technology, Applied Economics, Business Administration, or equivalent.

- Minimum 5 years of experience in integration architecture, technology roadmap management, and project delivery.

- Proven experience with hybrid cloud environments, API Management, and industrial integration patterns (e.g., Purdue model).

- Strong analytical and communication skills; able to lead cross-functional teams and drive governance maturity.

- Fluent in English and either Dutch or French; German is a plus.

- Willingness to travel occasionally to other Umicore sites.
