About Battery Recycling Solutions (BRS)

We extract critical and valuable materials from end-of-life batteries or production scrap as efficiently as possible and reintroduce them in the battery materials supply chain. What you will be doing

The strategic focus for BRS over the coming years is high and the supply chain manager will therefore have to upscale, reshape and rebalance the Supply Chain management in a rapid changing environment with increased complexity! 
As Supply Chain Manager you will be responsible for the overall Supply Chain of Battery Recycling Solutions (BRS). You will supervise the (upstream & downstream) Planning managers as well as the Back Office Team to ensure optimized and efficient supply chain flows. 
You will lead the Strategic & Operational Planning volume planning process, striving to ensure alignment between different external partners and internal departments from BRS as well as other Umicore Business Units. You will provide clarity and mentorship to the organisation on planning constraints, risks and opportunities as a result of operational limitations. Furthermore the development and design of the current & future planning tool will be under your responsibility as well as the optimisation of SAP flows.

 

More detailed responsibilities:

  • Strategic & Operational Supply Chain Management: S&OP (medium term) & BOP planning (long term) by adequate processes and planning, meetings and alignments
  • Structure, develop, harmonize and integrate processes, procedures, tools and systems
  • People management
  • Operational management of external partnerships for upstream supply and downstream (by-)products.
  • Operational Supply Chain Management: ensure the link between the S&OP planning horizon and the short term execution (S&OE planning)

 

You will be located in Hoboken or Brussels.

Who we are looking for

  • You have obtained a Master degree in business, finance or commercial engineering or other, with proven experience (+5 years) in supply chain management
  • You have a solid experience with several of the following processes: inventory management, supply chain management, supply planning (Anaplan,..)
  • You have built a solid experience in running complexity and identifying process gaps based on data or root cause analysis. Predicting risk/impact based on changes in demand, supply or production requirements are a must
  • You have strong analytical and strategic insights
  • You are a great teammate with people management experience, including strong interpersonal and leadership skills and you have acted already as a change agent
  • You are an open communicator both with internal as well as external partners to guarantee alignment over the full value chain
  • You are capable of handling several priorities under time restraint and meet deadlines
  • You have also strong interest and knowledge of production facilities and metallurgical (pyro/hydro) engineering
  • You are fluent in English; proficiency in Dutch is also a must
