What you will be doing
The Plant controller will be responsibilities for plant financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and analysis.
- Direct the creation of accurate, timely and complete Financial Results & Analysis. Utilize this to support of the measurement and understanding of the ongoing operational performance compared to the budget in a year over year view. Communicate the projected impact of the results to create forward looking business plans.
- Provide organizational and operations advice to the SECC team to support the future sustainability of the business.
- Assure the accurate valuation, reporting and protection of Company Assets to assure a fair calculation of Capital Employed by the manufacturing operation.
- Assure the effective management and control of cash, AP and AR positions (credit limit and overdue control and analysis) to optimize cash flow while minimizing risk.
- Leading the EfG initiatives in order to meet the budget and KPIs.
- Manage the PM and Non-PM inventory with a focus on accuracy and cost effectiveness and make sure no metal exposure.
- Focus on the control of capital employed to manage sustainable inventories that manage the risk of obsolescence or slow-moving inventory and credit risks.
- Support the management of Capital investment through budgetary control and accounting records.
- Develop production controls to manage the days on inventory at appropriate levels to react to short lead times in growing markets.
- Implement systems to manage the information flow to coordinate communications to ensure on time delivery of the correct product.
- Ensure Umicore policies and MICR’s are applied to daily activities.
- Ensure TP compliance.
- Perform financial evaluations for new products or business. Cost products in SAP and support the
Who we are looking for
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration. Master’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred.
- Minimum of 5+ years in finance and accounting field with an internationally operating company.
- Familiar with U.S. Sales Tax
- Knowledge of IFRS and US-GAAP, which influences accounting and reporting for the division.
- Good knowledge of MICR processes, experience in audits
- Current and commanding knowledge in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, investment calculations, contract administrations, and analysis of various business strategies developing various scenarios to understand the opportunities – strategically and tactically in support of the business decisions.
- Solid knowledge in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis.
- Ability to manage frequent product mix changes and rapidly increasing business volumes.
- Project management skills
- Strong ERP knowledge, SAP is a plus.
- Demonstrated progressive experience in operations planning is required
