What you will be doing

Product development and optimization

  • Develop and execute experimental plans for various technical projects
  • Design, synthesis, characterize and test new catalysts in both lab scale and pilot scale
  • Support projects to evaluate and qualify new manufacturing processes, new formulations, new raw materials, and new QC methods
  • Provide technical support and guidance for the production plant with a focus on quality and throughput. Resolve product issues, optimize plant performance, and direct continuous improvement

 

Product management

  • Manage product sheets and catalyst design guidelines
  • Support the update and development of catalyst simulation tool
  • As a technical expert, support the quality testing and product release
  • Manage production specifications for full-scale production, focusing on quality, productivity improvements, and cost reduction.
  • Coordinate the Safety Data Sheets and REACH documentation together with EHS group

 

Customer sample management

  • Prepare quotations of customer sample analysis
  • Oversee characterization and testing of all customer and non-customer samples with internal and third-party laboratories
  • Evaluate product performance use both lab results and on-site data, determine root cause of catalyst deactivation, and assist with developing solutions
  • Prepare testing reports and conference calls regarding on-site product performance
  • Manage product service life guarantees, monitor of product overall application deactivation, and provide technical support for product application designs

 

Who we are looking for

  1. Bachelor of Science in Chemical, mechanical or relevant field. PhD degree in Chemistry, Chemical engineering, or similar filed with a focus on heterogeneous catalyst or Master’s degree with strong relevant working experience preferred. 
  2. Prior research experience in catalyst synthesis, characterization, and testing
  3. Knowledge about mathematical modeling and simulation. Experience with MATLAB, Python, and Fortran is a plus
  4. Prior experience in catalyst production and product applications
  5. Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving skills
