What you will be doing

Umicore has a highly standardized, though very broad IT application and technology landscape. Solution and application integration covering end2end business processes is a key component

As Business Solutions Architect and Project Manager you will build a solid understanding of the end2end business processes, use expert-level skills to define solution and integration best practices. You will :

As solution & integration architect,

• Take a leading role in solutions & integration architecture decisions, in a hybrid cloud landscape.
• Analyze and build a profound understanding of the current application landscape.
• Translate the requirements of our Business Units into an application integration roadmap.
• Take a leading role  to establish and maintain a reference framework of integration methods, platforms, tools and map it out against typical use cases (fitness-for-purpose).
• Overlook end2end process and data flows with currently existing and new solutions.
• Keep up to date with the latest Application and Integration technologies and solutions.
• Seek synergies, and assure a flexible and modular technology platform.

As project manager,

• Work in close collaboration with business process owners and IS teams and ensure correct understanding of the business processes and define the target solution architecture
• Coordinate IT design & delivery, amongst multiple multidisciplinary IT teams, on a global scale
• Understand interdependencies amongst multiple strategic BU & Corporate projects and assure delivery & timeline alignment.
• Act as the trusted IT delivery partner within the Project  Steering Committee

You will be located in the Integration Center of Excellence, in Corporate IS. You will report hierarchically to the Center of Excellence lead.

Location will be Hoboken. Occasional travel to other Umicore sites (national & international) will be required.

Who we are looking for

• You hold a master in information technology, applied economics, business administration or similar
• You have a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, on integration methods, reference architectures, roadmap definition and mngt, application implementations…
• You have a sincere and proven interest in IT landscape design, in a hybrid cloud landscape, including shopfloor, MES and IOT data streams.
• You have a mature, assertive and dynamic personality, with excellent interpersonal skills
• You are a team player with strong communication skills and with a collaborative spirit
• You are customer oriented, result driven & focused on delivering quality
• You have strong analytical skills and are able to lead complex projects and related teams
• Interest in and exposure to industrial activities, processes and technology
• Good internal and external networking skills
• You are fluent in English and either Dutch or French, German is a plus
