What you will be doing
As our Chemical Production Operator, you will be responsible for manufacturing, packaging, and labeling various bulk industrial chemical products. Specifically, this will include:
- Reviewing batch sheets and instructions;
- Weighing and staging chemicals;
- Preparing chemicals for manufacturing and initiating the production process;
- Continually observing and monitoring reactions according to written procedures;
- Controlling reactions, adjusting equipment, and making additions as necessary for desired outcome;
- Performing quality control tests and making adjustments as needed;
- Filing totes or other required packaging;
- Labeling products as required; and,
- Other duties as needed.
What we are looking for
Our success is based on individuals who are ready to make the most of their skills and prepared to tackle any challenge they may face. For this position, you should have the following skills and qualifications:
- Verifiable high school diploma or equivalent
- Solid math skills
- Ability to lift 55 lbs
- Ability to wear a respirator
- Sit-down forklift experience preferred
- Experience with chemicals preferred
Additional Information
This is a day shift position working a regular schedule Monday through Friday. Starting pay is $21/hour, with higher rates available based on experience. The position is located at our Palm Commodities International, LLC facility located in LaVergne, Tennessee. The facility is a Drug-Free Workplace, and pre-employment drug testing is required.
Benefits are available the first of the month after hire.
