What you will be doing

Responsible for leading security staff to support smooth, safe, and continuous business operations
Act as the on -premises security ambassador and actively participate in the security ambassador’s community, ensuring compliance with security management systems and policies.
Align with the site Security Manager on a regular basis as well as the regional Security Manager or Enterprise Security experts at H.Q., as needed.
Implement and monitor policies and guidelines related to security and emergency response. Regular review of security procedures and provide recommendations for improvement.
Create security awareness on premise by organizing trainings on topics such as:
Safeguard premises against all malicious actions from internal or external persons e.g. fire, theft, vandalism and illegal entry, and report security related incidents
Perform opening/closing duties while maintaining overseeing all security logs
Oversee/check and logs all movement of precious metals and sundry items in and out of building.
Conduct employee searches with metal detection equipment
Monitor CCTV and patrols building for security and safety breaches
Provide general support with order handling and monitoring shipment progress.
Administers First Aid when required
Other duties as assigned

Who we are looking for

High School diploma required, Two year law and security College Diploma preferred
2 year Security officer experience
Valid Ontario Security Guard License
High integrity
Work independantly
Communicate skills in English
Work well under pressure
Ability to organize and prioritize tasks
Police check required
starting salary for this position is $66,800
