About Rechargeable Battery Materials
We are all on the move. Umicore’s rechargeable battery materials give people autonomy and connectivity. To enable our customers to produce even better performing batteries we cannot stand still. We need to find new ways to do things, discover new solutions and develop new ideas. What you will be doing
•    Ensure policies, procedures and training programmes for Environment are developed and adhered to and meet all corporate policies, guidelines and legislative requirements
•    Provide the best advice to the general management for any site-wide decision on environmental matter
•    Meet the annual testing and reporting requirements (Polish and Umicore requirements)
•    Prepare operating license approvals and submission to authorities as required, as well as main contact for governmental authorities (Polish and international environmental legislation)
•    Ensure all applicable legal requirements are met (execute proper operation of WWTP, air emission facility)
•    Provide direct advise by cooperating with department supervisors and managers to trouble shoot and resolve various environmental related issues
•    Organize waste and wastewater treatment in cooperation with specialized service providers
•    Co-work with RBM unit's EHS team for any environmental topics
•    Overseeing the EMS and its effectiveness, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and their continuous improvement. 
•    Implementation of internal audits, supervision of post-audit activities and evaluation of their effectiveness.
•    Cooperation with EMS authorities and certification bodies. 
•    Reporting to top management on the functioning of the EMS, including environmental activities.

Who we are looking for
•    Education: Degree/diploma in chemical, environmental, material engineering with 2+ years` experience in the environment field preferably in chemical manufacturing
•    Technical skills:
•    Strong understanding and in-depth knowledge of environmental regulatory requirements;
•    Very good written and spoken Polish and English communication.
•    Personal skills:
•    Basic level of environmental engineering skills;
•    Positive attitude and challenge spirit for new environment.
