Rechargeable Battery Materials
We are all on the move. Umicore’s rechargeable battery materials give people autonomy and connectivity. To enable our customers to produce even better performing batteries we cannot stand still. We need to find new ways to do things, discover new solutions and develop new ideas. Which is where you come in.

What you will be doing
1.    Training Needs Analysis:
•    Conduct thorough assessments to identify training needs within the Asset Management departments.
•    Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, and automation Supervisors, Engineers, and QEHS Coordinators to understand specific skill gaps and training requirements.
2.    Training Program Development:
•    Design and develop comprehensive training materials, manuals, and engaging multimedia visual aids.
•    Create interactive training sessions aligned with production goals and standards.
•    Adapt training programs to cater to different learning styles and levels of experience.
3.    Training Delivery:
•    Initiate and coordinate the enrollment of On-the-Job Training (OJT) post onboarding, working alongside a team of Asset Management TWI Trainers (Mechanical, Electrical, and Automation).
•    Facilitate and coordinate TWI training sessions for Maintenance staff, ensuring coverage of all relevant topics.
•    Utilize TWI training methods and other approaches (presentations, on-the-job training, simulations) to enhance learning experiences.
•    Monitor and evaluate training progress, making adjustments to programs as necessary.
4.    Documentation and Record-Keeping:
•    Maintain accurate records of training activities, attendance, and performance evaluations in collaboration with the Asset Management Administrator.
•    Generate detailed reports on training metrics and effectiveness for management review.
5.    Continuous Improvement:
•    Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in production processes.
•    Continuously enhance training programs based on feedback, evaluations, and evolving requirements.
6.    Compliance and Safety:
•    Ensure that training programs align with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
•    Integrate safety and quality protocols, along with compliance requirements, into TWI training materials.
•    Actively participate in Safety Management System, Environmental Management System, Quality Management System, and Energy Management System, fulfilling roles and responsibilities as outlined in additional files.

Who we are looking for
Education:
•    MSc or BSc with over 5 years of experience in technical roles within manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Training & Development, or a related discipline (maintenance or engineering).
•    Fluent in Polish.
•    Proficient in written, verbal, and presentation skills in English.
Technical Skills:
•    Proficient in training program development and delivery methodologies.
•    In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and/or instrumentation systems.
•    Familiarity with Training Within Industry (TWI) methodologies is highly desirable.
•    Experience with learning management systems (LMS) or other training administration platforms.
•    Familiarity with reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) principles, failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and other predictive maintenance techniques.
•    Ability to read plans, drawings, P&IDs, wiring, and other diagrams.
•    Insight into safety issues and risk assessment.
•    Computer skills: Proficient in data analysis tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel) and collaborative platforms and software for task planning, scheduling, and tracking.
Leadership Skills:
•    Ability to inspire and motivate maintenance staff to actively engage in training programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
•    Leadership qualities to coordinate and facilitate training sessions, manage training schedules, and address any issues or concerns that may arise.
•    Capacity to delegate tasks, provide guidance, and empower trainers to deliver effective training sessions.
•    Problem-solving skills to identify obstacles or challenges in the training process and develop solutions to overcome them.
•    Adaptability to adjust training approaches based on the needs and learning styles of individual employees.
•    Conflict resolution skills to handle any conflicts or disagreements that may arise during training sessions or among team members.
Personal Skills:
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders, including supervisors, engineers, and QEHS coordinators.
•    Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
•    Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining training records and documentation.
•    Flexibility and adaptability to accommodate changing training needs and requirements.
•    Commitment to safety standards and regulatory compliance within the training programs.
•    Continuous learning mindset to stay updated with industry trends and advancements in training practices.
