What you will be doing
As technical commercial manager, located in Paris, you will be part of Umicore France's commercial policy by :

  • developing the local sales structure for industrial brazing products through all possible and profitable distribution channels.
  • developing the sales activity of industrial brazing alloys on the French market by using the existing BRAZETEC source and also by developing other sources in order to widen the product portfolio.
  • setting up an efficient distribution network in France via regional wholesalers.
  • developing sales of technical ceramics on the French market using the existing Kyocera Fineceramics Europe source and also by developing other sources to expand the product portfolio.
  • Sales prospecting and customer visits for the "Brazing alloys" and "Ceramics" activities 2 days a week on average.
  • Contribute, participate, innovate, put in place the resources needed to satisfy customer needs, and make proposals to your management to this end.
  • Support and train the sales administration team and warehouse people in brazing products.
  • Provide technical assistance so that the team can be as autonomous as possible and can make proposals on the day-to-day management of product requests, standard quotations and customer complaints.
  • Check that SAP customer and consignment stock monitoring is carried out accurately.
  • Check that metal management (prices, hedging, leasing, etc.) is accurately supervised and managed.
  • Maintain good relations with the sales and technical teams at the BRAZETEC, Italbras and Kyocera Fineceramics Europe (Mannheim) plants.

 

Who we are looking for

  • You hold a Bachelor or Master degree in chemicals or materials engineering or equivalent through experience; you have a commercial experience and/or approach
  • You have 2 to 5 years of working experience in industry
  • A good knowledge of SAP is a plus
  • Analytical and structured worker with autonomy and sense of initiative
  • Able to take decisions and consistent in striving for results, despite eventual issues or problems
  • Good persuader and negotiator on different levels
  • Willing to travel (customer visits)
  • You are a good teammate; collaboration is your second nature
  • Good oral and written communication skills in French and English
  • You have clean criminal record
