What you will be doing

  • Development, implementation and maintenance of health & safety processes and procedures for compliance with regulatory and Umicore requirements
  • Define with the local team the site safety roadmap and translate it into an annual action plan
  • Animate safety on site and support the local management team to animate safety in their respective department
  • Act as a change leader in raising the bar on safety
  • Deploy corporate initiatives
  • Safety expert on site for all technical safety aspects
  • Train and coach the team on safety standards and rules with a focus on the why and how

Who we are looking for

  • You have an Associates degree in a related field plus five (5) years health and safety experience in a manufacturing environment
  • You have proficient computer skills; SAP experience a plus
  • You have an open personality, you are a relationship builder and you nurture partnerships
  • You are a true team player with a habit of open and transparent communication
  • You are an excellent communicator with good oral and written presentation skills
