What you will be doing

The manager will set up/design and coordinate the UTDA activities in the designated region (APAC) – including formal and informal learning activities, conferences, e-learnings, community events, etc.

  • Based on the regional & business context, identify learning needs on innovation, technology, digitalization, and operational excellence at Umicore in APAC region.
  • Design for the appropriate classroom trainings & complementary informal learning activities. Identify, negotiate and contract local training providers for traditional classroom trainings and other ways of learning.
  • Coordinate the delivery & communication of recurrent local learning activities presented by the internal & external speakers and organized with the support of local site officers.
  • Influence management of the region to participate and contribute to the global and local UTDA learning activities of Umicore. Represent UTDA in the region and identify technical & digitalization internal & external success cases to be shared locally & globally in learning communities activities, conferences & other events.
  • Seek ways of involving Umicore colleagues from the APAC region to UTDA global learning activities and global communities related to innovation, technology, digitalization and operational excellence topics. When applicable, create, lead and maintain new local or global learning communities.
  • When needed, act as a back-up in the coordination & communication of learning activities of other Umicore regions.

Who we are looking for

  • You have a Master degree in a technical* or digitalization domain and a minimum 2 years of professional experience.
  • You have affinity with innovation, technology & digitalization topics.
  • You have native or excellent language skills in Chinese and/or Korean.
  • You are able to communicate well in English (oral & written).
  • Experience with classrooms, e-learnings, webinars & events design/management is a plus.
