About Cobalt & Speciality Materials

Mastering the cobalt value chain. Umicore’s expertise covers the sourcing, production and distribution of cobalt and nickel products. Umicore’s materials are at the heart of products we use every day such as rechargeable batteries, tools, paints and tyres. What you will be doing

  • Responsible for achieving sales and new business development targets.  40%
  • Assist in managing and developing key accounts business: 1) Develop customers relationships in line with KA strategy;  2)Convert sales opportunity to sales growth; 3) Follow closely on customer forecast, feedbacks and payment.   20%
  • Assist in managing and developing distributors: 1) Managing existing distributors through regular business review, commercial and technical support; 2) Identify and develop new distributors for new applications and regions; 3) Motivate business growth through distributor network.  20%
  • Marketing: 1) learn and understand downstream applications, customer needs and technology trends; 2) present exhibition, seminar, etc on behalf of the company; 3) Collect market information on competitive landscapes.    10%
  • Collaborate with oversea commercial and R&D team on new product promotion and new business development.   10%

 

Who we are looking for

  • Master’s degree in chemicals with 3+ years working experience(or Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years) in fine chemical industries.(e.g. polyurethane, coating, lubricant, refinery, petrochemical, catalyst industries)
  • Technical background in related industries is required.
  • Experience in managing key accounts and distributors is required.
  • Ability of developing new business from scratch.
  • Experience in handling multi-application business is preferred.
  • Marketing experiences in organising exhibition, presenting, promoting new product & technology is preferred.
  • Proficient in English skills, writing and speaking.
