About Metal Deposition Solutions (MDS)

We have a passion for perfect surfaces. Umicore’s metal deposition solutions are used for industrial and decorative applications. We are experts in developing metal-based products that give our customers’ products the edge – from printed circuit boards to jewelry and industrial components. To make sure we are ready for the next generation of applications we cannot stand still. We need to find new ways to do things, discover new solutions and develop new processes. Which is where you come in.

What you will be doing

  • Contact and visit existing and potential OPT & MEL customers for developing and maintaining the business in Mainland China; Meet annual sales budget/goals set by the management
  • Follow the implementation of the set commercial strategy by the management
  • Keep and maintain industrial chain networks of related OPT & MEL products in Mainland China
  • Prepare all sales and marketing materials required in Chinese language: technical documentation, web-site, exhibition booth material, leaflets, appropriate give-aways
  • Coordinate in conducting market and customer survey, submitting sales report and competitor trends and maintaining customer data base
  • Keep effective working relationship with existing/potential customers; Assist in increasing visibility of Umicore at management from customers’ side
  • Assist in the sales contracts negotiation, follow-up customer relations, foresee any deviations from budget & takes necessary action
  • Support and assist in new business development of related TFP products in mainland China
  • All the other tasks assigned by the Supervisor

Who we are looking for

  • Bachelor Degree or above in Science or Technology or Business Management
  • 5+ years sales experience in Semiconductor/Electronics, Vacuum/Coating, Optics related industries or other technical fields of Micro technology
  • Effective interface between international sales team and customers
  • Customer oriented and strong in building up and maintaining customer relations
  • Good communication capability in both oral and written English
  • A capable user of PC Microsoft office applications
  • High travel frequency up to 50%
  • High team spirit
  • Quick learner with good interpersonal, communication and influencing skills
  • Highly motivated & able to take the initiative
  • Be capable of working independently under pressure
  • Experienced in working in multinational company and familiar with foreign culture
