About Precious Metals Management

Umicore supplies and handles all precious metals, ensuring physical delivery by using the output of our precious metals refineries as well as our network with industrial partners and banks. We offer our customers tailor-made solutions for the delivery, hedging, and the trading of precious metals. To ensure secure and sustainable sourcing of precious metals we cannot stand still. We need to find new ways to do things, discover new solutions and make new partnerships. Which is where you come in.

What you will be doing

  • Provide complete support to the Traders to ensure optimized efficiency of the trading desk.
  • Ensure timely confirmation of trades, transfers and banking transactions. Resolve any trade queries received internally or externally, and ensure any trade discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Use SAP to: enter outbound and inbound shipments, to coordinate shipments with vault, approve freight invoices, monitor and invoice freight, transfer and premium charges, maintain email contacts and key contact for SAP inquiries.
  • Facilitate customer transfers within credit lines.
  • Review bank statement and bill trades as the need arises, and follow up on late payments. Enter freight bills in SAP for payment as required.
  • Support the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of the Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payables.
  • Support the completeness of the Precious Metals Inventory and Weight Accounts.
  • Supports the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of the cash movements, including but not limited to the processing of daily payment proposals for JP Morgan Chase Bank, IHB, and Payment Factory.
  • Supports the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of the Exchange Monitor, including but not limited to the daily reconciliations and settling of all exchange business.
  • Responsible for vault inventory, Receives, selects metal to meet customer specifications and dispatches all metals. Verifies the Certificate of Analysis and Silver bar list meets requirements.
  • Working closely with suppliers, customers and import broker to assure the secure movement and tracking of shipments.
  • Arranges all documents for outbound shipment.

Who we are looking for

Education and Technical Background

  • College Degree in Accounting, Business or Finance
  • Working Knowledge of SAP (Helpful)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft products (Excel, Word, etc)
