Automotive Catalysts (AC)

We all have the right to breathe clean air and at Umicore we are a world leader in the production of emission control catalysts. Our technologies enable on-road and non-road applications, as well as power generation and process industry to meet environmental standards around the world. Our products have prevented billions of tonnes of harmful gases and particles being released into the atmosphere. To enable our customers to produce even cleaner engines and further reduce industrial emissions, we cannot  stand still. We need to find new ways to do things, discover new solutions and develop new ideas. Which is where you come in.

 

What you will be doing

1. Project management and internal improvement (40%)  

    Lead, plan and implement project/programs to support and achieve site EHS KPIs, ESG and site strategy objectives regarding to EHS. Cover UAC1 and UAC2, TDC.

    Work closely with site leadership to ensure continual improvement and compliance with all EH&S activities in support of the EH&S Management System, promote safety site’s safety culture.

    Lead process safety management, conduct PRA for processes and take RRM. Support MOC EHS evaluation.

    Organize EHS inspections to ensure effective implementation of EHS requirements.

    Organize to make EHS emergency plan and organize emergency drill regularly.

    Collect and interpret governmental regulations and codes to ensure site compliance with local EHS requirements.

    Responsible for EHS incident reporting, investigation and corrective action follow up the corrective and preventive actions and ensure effective closure.

 

2. Security management (30%)

    Work with security company and monitoring security guards work performance.

    Maintain Security management system, plan and implement internal security audit to evaluate security risk and develop improve plans.

    Maintain security management to satisfy AEO requirement. Participate in AEO audit, take corrective and improvement actions to the finds.

    Deal with security emergency case. Responsible for security case investigation and follow up.

    Support HR to conduct new hiring background investigation. 

    Good coordination and communication with local police station.

 

3. EHS system relevant (25%)                                      

    Lead site ISO50001 certification efforts and maintain continual improvement.

    Plan and implement internal EHS audit to ensure the operation meets the requirements of the company and regulations.

    Maintain and update the Implement company safety, health and environment related documents, rules, and regulations, conduct regular safety inspection and rectification process, employees on safety education, training, implementation, and record.

    Maintain EHS records and monitoring procedures to meet management and regulatory requirements.

    Regularly identify and timely report any non-compliance issues and take corrective and preventive measures as required.

 

4. Others

    Safety management of dangerous chemicals.

    Responsible for supervising the safety management of contractors and suppliers

    Good coordination and communication with EHS and relevant regulatory authorities.

    Complete other tasks assigned by superiors

 

Who we are looking for

1.    Bachelors degree or above with major in Safety, Environment, Health and Engineering or Chemistry Engineering is preferred.

2.    5 years above EHS working experience in a manufacturing environment. Chemical industry is preferred;

3.    Familiar with Chinese national and local EHS related laws & regulations, familiar with ISO14001OHSAS18001, ISO50001system.

4.    Good at Spoken and written in English and mandarin;

5.    Strong ability to handle EHS related incidents independently.

6.    Demonstrated pro-active attitude and passion/energizing in work, good problem solving, communication, teamwork, and leadership skills. -
