Automotive Catalysts (AC)

We all have the right to breathe clean air and at Umicore we are a world leader in the production of emission control catalysts. Our technologies enable on-road and non-road applications, as well as power generation and process industry to meet environmental standards around the world. Our products have prevented billions of tonnes of harmful gases and particles being released into the atmosphere. To enable our customers to produce even cleaner engines and further reduce industrial emissions, we cannot  stand still. We need to find new ways to do things, discover new solutions and develop new ideas. Which is where you come in.

What you will be doing

Main Responsibilities and Task:

Process analyzation through hands-on

  • Participate GFS APAC operation and understand process execution, control, analysis, and reporting activities.
  • Analyze existing processes and propose improvement opportunities for further evaluation.
  • Execute ad-hoc assignments as required

OTC Process:

  • Conduct daily AR clearing based on payment advice from Customer Service and Sales departments.
  • Handle service billing issuance for GFS CN served entities in line with entity requests and established rules.
  • Prepare monthly reports including AR Aging, bank reconciliation, and other required financial reports.
  • Manage payment factory and non-payment factory related payment activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Perform payment checks and coordinate closely with Treasury to guarantee the accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency of the payment process.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits and reviews.
  • Perform customer statement reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Issue VAT invoices in the Golden Tax System; prepare reconciliation reports for output VAT across Golden Tax, SAP, and T-Suite.

 

Operational efficiency support

  • Provide 1st line operational support. When know-how questions, provide answer following process standard, liaising with GPO or GFS internally. When system issue, assign ticket to right contact and monitor progress per priority.
  • Support GFS APAC to enhance documentation and capitalize experience from operational issue resolution, further improve efficiency in future.

 

Project support

  • Support global projects deployment in GFS APAC, or GFS APAC projects, by providing process insight and structuring local requirement to project team, explaining process & technical change to local team, facilitating user testing and go-live hyper care.

Who we are looking for

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, Economics, IT, Computer Science, Digitalization, or with a strong focus on digital technology enablement for finance processes.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a finance-related position; prior experience in a Finance Shared Service Center is a plus.
  • Systems Knowledge: Hands-on experience with SAP; familiarity with the Golden Tax System is an advantage
  • Language Skills: Ability to read, write, and communicate in English at a professional working level, other APAC languages is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, experiences with new technologies (e.g. robotics) is a plus.
  • Additional Skills: Project management experience is a plus; strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are preferred.
