About Jewelry & Industrial Metals  

A wealth of applications. Umicore is an expert in developing products and processes based on precious metals such as gold, silver and platinum. These materials enable our customers to make fine jewelry , coins, high-purity glass and industrial catalysts. Umicore also enables the sustainable and responsible sourcing of these metals and provides closed-loop recycling for our customers. To make the most of these materials we cannot stand still. We need to find new ways to do things, discover new solutions and develop new processes. Which is where you come in. 

Main responsibilities

  • Sales execution/promotion : 

Follow-up of existing customers 

  • Daily business follow up 
  • Make a budget proposal and share with a supervisor and PEM/UPMR 
  • Achieve budget 
  • Negotiation to close a deal (e.g, price, payment conditions, delivery time etc.), including support of supervisor and BUs, if necessary 
  • Credit management and secure payment  
  • Manage weight account things with customer to secure an enough PGM to start a smooth production by PEM. 
  • Optional: Responsible for PEM’s all potential customers in APAC 

 

  • Marketing / Setting approaches: 

Compile “market information” to enable an efficient and logical sales approach (= compile) to existing/potential customers. 

 

  • Conduct market research and analysis on a regular basis (“Market Intelligence”) per 6 months 

 

  • Based on Market Intelligence, the sales person should come up with sales approaches of both short term and long term. These ideas should be shared with a supervisor and PEM/UPMR/AGOSI, and fix Strategy.
