What you will be doing
The site P&O Lead is responsible for the overall HR management for the dedicated site or site clusters, with continuous support of the site P&O coach(es) and/or site P&O manager(s). The following activities and responsibilities are in scope:
HR Strategy & Vision
- Manage recruitment & learning + development needs on site, unless there is a BU or country recruitment center
- Ensure alignment with central Talent Acquisition and Learning & Innovation guidelines strategy
- Manage large sites HR and ensure alignment with central and BU HR strategy & vision
- Collaborate with HR Business Partner [or Head of HR] to ensure alignment with HR Strategy & Vision
- Manage the development and implementation of local HR initiatives and programs
- In close collaboration with P&O Operations and COEs, coordinate and collaborate on the development of HR processes and policies with regards to specific business units and their HR needs
- Work with HRBPs [or Head of HR] on the active management of HC and FTE evolution
- Align local strategy with global COE guidelines
Consulting, Advising & Coaching Managers
- Advise and consult site business leaders in escalated issues or conflicts
- Advise and manage Site P&O managers and/or coaches in different HR topics and issues
- Advise CoEs, P&O Operations and Business Unit leaders and escalate issues to HR Business Partners [or Head of HR] as appropriate
- Propose C&B packages for white collars/blue collars, and managers up to Hay 21 on site in the countries where applicable
- Participate to site P&O management meetings as relevant to ensure HR initiatives and strategy are aligned with business priorities
- Partner with site business leaders on strategic HR and talent priorities, discuss questions around C&B, talent acquisition, etc.
- Advise and consult site leaders throughout recruitment & development.
- Own the Talent Acquisition & recruitment process (up to Hay 21) and onboarding for all hires when there is no dedicated Recruitment Center that supports the site(s).
- Act as an advocate for HR services within the new HR operating model collaborating with P&O Operations and COEs especially during the transition into the new model
- Be an agent for change management support and engagement for managers toward their teams
- Work as a trouble shooter, finding solutions and debugging issues raised toward HR topics and services
Programs & projects
- Support the delivery of HR policies, programs and processes by P&O Operations and the COEs and ensure adjustment to the local needs if required
- Proactively inform the HR BP team on identified business needs to co-develop the overall HR (project) agenda
- Drive the identification of L&D needs and set-up of local/site specific training programs accordingly within global and/or BU CoE guidelines and additive to existing programs.
Manage the site P&O Team
- Manages the [P&O manager(s) – if applicable] P&O coaches in order to translate the HR-vision to the workplace by guiding and assisting supervisors and managers in HR-related issues.
- Creates an optimal working environment for the team and stimulates the development of the desired competencies.
- Structures the site P&O team as a well-organized department with special attention to qualitive and timely support to the different BU in the site (in close cooperation with the Center CoEs). Develops and organizes the site P&O team as reference regarding P&O Operations and processes both to address needs and work together to resolve escalations.
- Ensures team compliance with process and quality procedures.
- Ensured the good transition of operational activities into P&O Operations in a risk managed way
Main activities in scope
- Guide, coach and manage the site P&O team (consisting of site P&O coach(es) and/or site P&O manager(s)) to manage HR topics on site
- Drive the translation and monitoring of the implementation of HR policies
- Coordinate the creation of an inspirational local work environment on site
- Manage site level workforce planning and identify / deliver upon local L&D needs
- Own the Talent Acquisition & recruitment process and onboarding for all hires when there is no dedicated Recruitment Center that supports the sites.
- Manage & participate in recruitment and onboarding activities when needed
- Propose C&B packages for white collars/blue collars, and managers on site in the countries where applicable
- Manage employee concerns and queries after escalation by site P&O manager or site P&O coach
