What you will be doing

As a Cathode Production Technologist at UBM Korea in Cheonan, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability and efficiency of our cathode production processes. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Process Monitoring

- Define and monitor operating parameters to ensure stable production operations, minimizing quality and safety issues.

- Support the Process Control team (PC) to reduce nonconformities and ensure stable quality.

- Maintain and update all necessary production documentation, such as SOPs, OPLs, and control plans. Develop documentation related to operating parameters and best practices for process steps.

2. Improvements in Production

- Collaborate with relevant departments to prevent production malfunctions.

- Implement initiatives to enhance production efficiency, such as lead time reduction, productivity improvement, cost and scrap reduction, OEE, and FPY improvements.

- Serve as a facilitator for Operational Excellence initiatives within the Production team.

- Coordinate improvement proposal programs and act as a liaison with other cathode teams or sites.

- Manage projects related to your scope of activities as necessary.

3. Troubleshooting

- Act swiftly to minimize production losses and restore production, always adhering to EHS guidelines.

 

Who we are looking for

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (chemistry, metallurgy, materials science, or similar).

- 1 year ~ 4 years of experience in a manufacturing plant.

- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes.

- Advanced written and spoken English is desirable (but not mandatory).

- Strong interpersonal skills.

- Proven problem-solving ability and a continuous improvement mindset.

- Positive attitude and flexibility to work in a dynamic environment.

- Ability to prioritize and handle time pressure.

- Comfortable working primarily on the shop floor.
