What you will be doing


Sales Operational activities

•    Secure the planned sales volumes through the customer contracts
•    Optimize the commercial terms such as technology premium, yield loss, metal conditions to ensure the required profit return 
•    Make accurate customer demand forecast for the SO&P and SO&E planning cycles
•    Track the customer deliveries to ensure the planned monthly sales volumes
•    Manage the metal hedging per customer / product based on contracted terms
•    Build up customer relationships at different levels such as procurement, R&D, QM 
•    Management of payment and customer credit
•    Responsible for VOC and co-work with relevant teams and coordinated potential quality topics with internal teams
•    Make customer meeting reports and follow up defined actions


Business development

•    Explore the new business opportunities through the existing & new customers
•    Develop the profitable business case of the new business opportunity in case requires Capex investment
•    Secure the new contracts with required coordination’s, alignments and approvals from internal organization


Market Intelligence

•    Follows up the dynamics of the Li-ion battery and EV market 
•    Watches out the competition’s movements relating to their capacity expansion, collaboration with up/down-stream supply chain etc.  


Who we are looking for


•    University degree in Engineering/Science/Economics/Business Administration
•    Work experience >5 years in sales/supply related works, preferably in a B2B commercial environment in automotive, metals or materials
•    Stress resistant 
•    Capable of dealing with the sometimes conflicting interest between customers and Umicore
•    Experience with metal hedging
•    Self-starting personality with a can-do mentality
•    Fluent in English
•    Can work independently
•    Knows how to organize things, even in a fast changing environment
•    Takes initiative and is not easily demotivated
•    Takes ownership for the task assigned to him/her
